About Cuestars Introduction Cuestars is a snooker scheme based around an universal handicap system, which provides snooker players with the chance of competition success. More than 1,000 players are registerred with Cuestars and over 20 snooker clubs allow their facilities to be used by Cuestars. Upon joining Cuestars a player is provided a Handicap, which is then used at all Cuestars events. Click here to find what your Handicap would be. Membership To become a Cuestars player requires completion of a Membership form and payment of a £8.00 joining fee (Saturday Section players can join for only £4.00). Click here for a membership form. Saturday Sections Cuestars Saturday Sections enable children to play on a full size snooker table. At these Sections, new players are shown the snooker basics, shown how to conduct themselves in the Snooker Club environment and are introduced to competition play. A Coaching Programme is also provided, which offers Saturday Section players a structured approach to learning snooker. There are 10 levels to the programme with the first level aimed at the beginner and the final level aimed at the player capable of making 100 breaks. Click here for your nearest Cuestars Saturday Section. Sunday Competitions Competitions take place on Sundays between September and June. Click here to view a list of the competitions available for Season 2006/2007. The format for competitions is as follows; Draw takes place at 10.30am prompt. All tables used for competition matches are free of charge. Free Plate competition for 1st match losers. Cuestars Handicap System used at all events. There is a Dress code for junior competitions of smart trousers, shoes and a collared shirt. Click here for full details of competition day rules.
