Handicaps simplified

THE handicap system for Cuestars’ Junior Section Team Challenge has been simplified.

After consultation with section organisers, Cuestars director John Hunter announced this week changes that will come into force from event two in Swindon on November 22.

Gold players will be off scratch, Silver players will off a 14 handicap and Bronze players off a 28 handicap.

Hunter said: “There will be no other changes. The competitions remain as four-player teams using a knock-out format with a plate for first-match losers.”

And he added that the results and rankings from the first event will stand.

Last month’s event at The Academy, Eastleigh, saw Swindon Jesters sweep the board (see report below or on calendar page).

Sunday’s (November 8) Cuestars Under-21 Gold, Silver and Bronze tournaments have been moved from Gosport to Jesters Snooker Club in Swindon.
